Very good condition; unframed. Two pencil drawings (Sir Edward Denison Ross and Sir Alexander Fleming), similar to this listing, are in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London, dated 1939 and 1944 respectively. Both drawings bear the same signature as this listing.
Helen MacD Campbell was a Mid-20th Century oil painter of portraits. She listed her address as 4 Joudert Studios, Jubilee Place, Chelsea, London S.W.3 – the same address listed on the label of this drawing which was exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in or after 1938.
