Very good. condition. Was purchased framed (as seen) in Edinburgh but subsequently was rolled and placed in a tube for transportation and storage.
Moira Ferrier was born in Glen Lethnot, Angus and studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, where her tutors included Ian Fleming, David Michie, Henderson Blyth and Joan Eardley. She taught for a number of years in Aberdeenshire, then moved to Edinburgh. She now lives on the island of Mull where she finds endless variety of landscape in ever changing moods. She also has an affinity with flowers and has the ability to convey their essence in paint. She is equally proficient in oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels.
In 1979 she was elected a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours and her paintings are always a highlight of their annual exhibitions in Edinburgh. Moira Ferrier exhibits widely and has work in many collections. – Various sources.
