Moira Ferrier was born in Glen Lethnot, Angus and studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, where her tutors included Ian Fleming, David Michie, Henderson Blyth and Joan Eardley. She taught for a number of years in Aberdeenshire, then moved to Edinburgh. She now lives on the island of Mull where she finds endless variety of landscape in ever changing moods. She also has an affinity with flowers and has the ability to convey their essence in paint. She is equally proficient in oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels.
