Walter Roberts was a painter in water-colour and oil. Born in Doncaster on 10th December 1907. Studied at Doncaster School of Art. Exhibited at the R.A. and in the provinces. Member of Doncaster Art Club 1926-45, Scarborough Sketch Club 1934-35, Newcastle Society of Artists 1946-59, and of the Staffordshire Society of Artists from 1961. Lives at Wistaston in Cheshire. – from Waters, Dictionary of British Artists.
